Day 1 – Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your 5 Days Northern Circuit Safari begins with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, a destination famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant populations. The park offers excellent wildlife viewing with opportunities to see lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and numerous antelope species. During the game drive, your guide shares insight about animal behavior, local ecosystems, and conservation efforts while navigating through diverse landscapes. Picnic lunch is enjoyed inside the park before continuing the safari in the afternoon. In the evening, you arrive at your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, the journey continues toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the route, you enjoy panoramic views, Maasai villages, and the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania. Upon entering Serengeti, wildlife viewing begins immediately as the endless plains are home to lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, and large grazing herds. Depending on the season, you may also witness part of the Great Migration. Your guide carefully searches for wildlife while explaining the Serengeti ecosystem. Dinner and overnight are at a lodge or tented camp inside the park.

Day 3 – Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring the remarkable wildlife regions of Serengeti National Park. Morning and afternoon game drives provide opportunities to encounter predators, large herbivore herds, and a wide variety of bird species across the savannah. The vast open plains create one of Africa’s most iconic safari landscapes and offer excellent photography opportunities throughout the day. Picnic lunch is served in the bush while surrounded by the sounds and atmosphere of the African wilderness. In the evening, you return to your lodge or camp for dinner, relaxation, and overnight in the Serengeti.

Day 4 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast and a final morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, the safari continues toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Wildlife sightings remain possible during the journey as you travel across scenic highlands and volcanic landscapes. Upon arrival near the crater rim, you enjoy spectacular panoramic views overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural wonders. The cooler climate and beautiful scenery create a relaxing atmosphere after several days on safari. Dinner and overnight take place at a lodge located near the crater rim or in nearby Karatu.

Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha

Today you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive across its wildlife-rich floor. The crater supports an exceptional concentration of animals including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, wildebeests, and the endangered black rhino. The enclosed ecosystem provides excellent wildlife viewing opportunities throughout the safari while surrounded by dramatic volcanic scenery. Picnic lunch is enjoyed near a hippo pool before continuing exploration of the crater. In the afternoon, you ascend the crater walls and return to Arusha where your unforgettable Northern Circuit safari adventure concludes.
